This traditional Venetian composition, defined by brass divider strips, anchors the lobby of a new waterfront residential development with ground-floor retail and a public park on a reclaimed industrial site. The floor, installed in epoxy terrazzo poured at 5/8 inch to accommodate oversized marble aggregate, extends into precast terrazzo wall panels and poured-in-place benches. Bands at measured intervals in the corridor introduce contrast and cadence. The irregular checkerboard patterns, though seemingly random, follow a repeating structure that adds measured energy to the space and aligns with the design framework.
