The renovation of this 1969 chapel demonstrates how terrazzo can quietly reframe architecture with intention. Built as an example of Brutalist design, the space has been thoughtfully reordered into a Roman Catholic worship environment that supports ritual, ceremony, and tradition. The floor design supports the space while accenting the chapel’s sweeping curves. Terrazzo carries seamlessly across ramps and steps, with a dimensional terrazzo rosette accent at the baptismal font, and brass cross inlays that guide procession, mark thresholds, and reinforce the sacred rhythms.
