Terrazzo establishes a durable, expressive foundation for this new clinic’s interior, honoring the legacy of the Tigua Indian community—one of the nation’s oldest continuously inhabited settlements. The focal point is a seven-color eagle medallion, rooted in cultural symbolism, and is precisely scaled to the interior. Glossy ribbons of rich color frame the medallion and direct movement. The eagle’s black details are formed from a 1/2-inch slab of premium granite set within a hand-poured terrazzo field. High-precision water-jet cutting creates crisp outlines, while sand-blasted details in gray stone contrast with the polished black stone, adding texture and depth.
