Guilford Park High School

Engineered for energy efficiency and conservation, this new LEED Silver-certified campus is a county Green School and the fourth and largest adaptation of the district’s current design prototype. The epoxy terrazzo pattern in the main gathering spaces and corridors on all three stories is an updated interpretation of the classic pinwheel tile design, weaving together at intersections to represent the rich tapestry of cultures blended in the school population. Functional and hardwearing, the floor’s six-color design introduces a different pattern for each lane of student traffic, ensuring a harmonious and efficient flow.
