Tuya Restaurant & Lounge

In a building in the center of Vienna, Austria, this elegantly informal terrazzo installation was completed under the watchful eye of the city’s commission on historic preservation. The design intent was to enhance the subtle Art Deco and Postmodern influences of the original space while conserving and complementing the original vision of Hans Hollein, one of Austria’s greatest architects and designers. The installation of 6,000 square feet of epoxy terrazzo blended with Italian marble includes precast stairs and walls created by the contractor. The captivating terrazzo design contributes to the cohesive interior design of an inviting space.
