Frogtown Community Center

The floor is the focal point in this playful installation in 34 vibrant epoxy terrazzo colors. A trio of local artists collaborated on the design. Art mirrors function as the design in the hallway maps the lifecycle of a frog, from eggs to tadpoles to adults, to assist way-finding in the progression of rooms from toddlers to grade-schoolers to teens. The waterjet-cut strip design depicts overlapping ripples in the water in shades of blue. Terrazzo provides high visual impact with durability and low maintenance to serve the community for many years to come.
