The goals of installing a sustainable floor that would reflect the natural environment while providing a calm, interactive learning space were accomplished at this school. This organic, floor-in-motion design captures the wind with curves in brushed aluminum divider strips and a pattern of free flowing meadow grasses in earth tones. Precast stairs and base join the facility’s durable, low-maintenance finishes. Artistic floor installations in the area’s school districts are growing along with the reputation of terrazzo as a flooring of choice.
